Starting today, a section at the bottom of the newsletter will be devoted to independent brands, small-batch makers and the pieces you are unlikely to see everywhere else. These finds are made in limited quantities, often at more approachable prices, so they will be reserved for paid subscribers.
All Three’s High Summer collection is so clever: the layered look we all want built into cut-off shorts with denim on the outside and silk on the inside. A cream silk miniskirt with loops for a wide, chunky belt that makes it look a little tougher. The bolero I fall for every time Leandra Medine Cohen wears it, which is often, is now available in poplin. There are also more colors and styles in the brand’s most-loved fabrics: tissue cotton and gauze.
Tory Burch reissues an early-aughts icon: the 2008 crystal-embellished tunic, one of the first silhouettes the brand ever designed. This one is crafted in crisp linen that softens as you wear it, with bands of hand-applied crystals at the neck, cuffs and hem. There’s a long caftan version too.
For the second week in a row, I found Donni silk taffeta on the UK resale market. After years of recommending it in the newsletter, based on feedback from a few subscribers and peers whose judgment I trust, I finally got to put the silk taffeta cargo pants on my own body. Holy cow. This will sound oddly pretentious, but I have never tried on anything and thought it looked better on me than I had seen it look on anyone else. I assume this Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants witchery is what has made them an all-time best-seller, and why Donni keeps releasing more colors and patterns, like the polka dots that dropped this week as part of its Summer Part IV capsule.

The piqué polo is shaping up to be the defining basic of late summer as Donni goes long-sleeved in the subtle honeycomb texture in soft raspberry, sage, and cornflower shades, while Flore Flore offers a short-sleeves in bold purple and red, plus a long-sleeved style in ‘chamomile,’ a soft but luminous yellow.
The most important restock of the season. My love for Tibi’s crispy nylon knows no bounds: the light-as-air, perfectly structured, just-a-little-sporty Stella cargo shorts, Stella cargo pants, and more pieces in the fabric have been restocked.
We’re in summer’s final stretch, but brands keep a steady stream of lace-trimmed cotton-voile pieces coming. It shows how much mileage there is in these easy throw-on styles. I’m writing this on my flight home from six days in the South of France, where I wore little besides my white cotton-voile “nightie” (it’s in the new Small Brand Finds section below). Cou Cou Intimates introduces the delicate Fleur minidress and Fleur top. The Rina long-sleeves also now come in a French marinière stripe. Australian label DISSH brings out the beautiful sheer Elisa top and the lace-trimmed, blouson-style Rosin maxi dress.

Éterne Fall 2026 collection is live and brings new colorways of their excellent tank tops: the soft jersey 90’s tank in mushroom and cotton modal Duke tank in washed navy. Mix and match with the bright green terry shorts from their summer collection.
Kallmeyer’s newest arrivals include the striking Daria Blouse and matching Esse midi skirt, constructed with fine pleating punctuated by hand-cut tufted eyelash details scattered across the fabric. Truly unique. The Elif silk asymmetric top is my next big purchase.

Carrie Bradshaw would have been all over this STAUD silk printed minidress with the lace bra detail exposed by a cowl neckline. This lemon-yellow ruffled chiffon top, too.
Nili Lotan has launched footwear for the first time. “I asked myself: What is the shoe that truly belongs in my world?” the designer says. “I always knew that if we made shoes, they had to feel essential. I heard the requests, I listened, and I took the time to get every detail right.” It makes sense that her answer is rooted in Western Americana and designed to be worn constantly. The Lucinda is a cowboy ankle boot with an unexpected slim three-inch heel, for anyone who wants a little height under full-length, slightly flared jeans. The Towns is your classic pull-on cowboy boot, available in black leather and tawny suede. Across these and three more styles, you can expect the same durability and wearability Nili Lotan brings to the rest of her collections. I know many of you are still shopping for bikinis, but these don’t ship until August anyway: something to look forward to as summer starts winding down.
Studio Nicholson, the brand with the most pieces in my closet and the only jeans I own, has launched on Net-a-Porter. It’s a small selection to begin with, but it includes the classic Holin car coat and perfectly baggy, belted Cahuin jeans.
The sexiest shoe brand out there is having a very good blink-and-you’ll-miss-it sale. Through July 31st only, JUDE offers 20% off selected pieces with code SUMMER20, and this isn’t a sale of unwanted stock: all the good stuff is included, like the Kiss pump, Knotty sandal, and Yaga thong flat in different colors.

Judging by Frame’s just-dropped Fall collection. It’s going to be a very ‘70s summer which includes this Jerry Hall-esque polka dot silk blouse and this relaxed tie-shirt. To wear now, there’s this really sexy lace-insert leopard silk cami.
If you’re among the many fans of Negative’s Whipped non-wire bra, the brand just released a cami dress in the same material.
Rachel Comey made a pair of tailored sweatpants. They have a wide-leg silhouette with a defined waistband, belt loops, a five-button closure and curved hip pockets, and they’re cut from soft jersey.

Hailey Bieber was just spotted wearing this Alfie bamboo tube skirt in Greece.
I went to Chan Luu’s website to discover their newly-launched take on bridal, and got distracted by the new fluffy brooches: curling ostrich and goose feathers in a wild burst of burgundy or cornflower blue (also in black). Also, the brand restocked the sold-out taffeta shorts in teal and Kona print.

Dorsey launched its final summer capsule with the Porter earrings in beautiful aquamarine-colored nano crystals and the enamel and moissanite necklace in cherry red. The jewelry I have not taken off this summer is that same necklace in sable and the Maxwell silver moissanite earrings.
