This is EVERY BODY GETS DRESSED’s weekly curated edit of the only fashion newness worthy of your attention.
Readers of this newsletter can’t get enough of Donni. They dropped Part IV of their summer collection last week. It features pants, boxer shorts, and shirts in their signature sandwash, a special wash applied to 100% cotton fabric for a super soft feel. The collection also includes some new tanks and tees trimmed with vintage lace. I love how the brand styled them, layering them together (see below).
The Cut described Donni as ‘Martha Stewart meets The Row,’ or, as the writer put it, a brand that has ‘reinvented the preschool pickup uniform.’
Alex Mill has some new arrivals, like this really cool trimmed cotton vest, this dress in washed silk, and more colours of their 365 ribbed tank - the tank the models from their spring shoot didn’t want to take off (you may need a deep scoop bralette to look seamless under this, like this one from SKIMS).

ordered the Riley Pants after this journalist rated them the best linen pants following a thorough review of the market. They earned this title for being the most comfortable, not scratchy, and less likely to wrinkle. The roundup also highlighted Reformation’s Olina as the best petite pick and Aritzia’s Effortless Pant as the best office-friendly linen pant.
Gohar World is a tabletop universe that invites people to gather around surrealist statement objects, such as strawberry-shaped candles or bird-shaped lemon squeezers (the chicest/coolest/most practical gift idea I’ve come across in some time). The minds behind these well-dressed tables are sisters Nadia and Laila Gohar. Aside from being a columnist at The Financial Times and an artist with food as her preferred medium, Laila also has impeccable taste, one that caught the eye of Moda Operandi. She recently collaborated with them to release an edit that includes ready-to-wear pieces from Ben-Amun, Bottega, and Toteme, along with items from her homeware line. Definitely worth a look.
ROHE launched its pre-fall collection, and those searching for workwear that doesn’t feel like workwear will be thrilled. One standout piece is this versatile gilet shirt made from silk and cotton, with open armholes and a buttoned wrap belt, which you can style in a variety of ways. It also comes in a dress version. Other highlights include tops with asymmetrical cuts, such as this single-sleeve design or this striped shirt.
Laoli is one of our favourite discoveries of the season. Launched in 2023, founder Olivia Ball built the brand on her passion for family heirlooms. I love their drop-cord necklaces that come in a variety of stones, each featuring subtle colour variations that make every piece one of a kind. All are priced between $500 and $625. They also make this delicate shell necklace, which is hand-strung with white silk thread in Paris by a 100-year-old atelier.
Summer Sandals
I was one of nine million people who watched this content creator’s plea for chic summer shoes that are comfortable enough to walk 25K steps on a summer day. Cool city girls chimed in, and the creator — Talya Mayden, who also shares amazing interior design tips — took it upon herself to test the most-mentioned pairs. Her top pick was the Dana by Camper (the classic slingback version and the crisscross version), which has since sold out on their site, but if you Google ‘Camper Dana’, you’ll find it on plenty of other sites.
The runner-ups included the Teva Voya Infinity Sandal (also favoured by Mary Kate Olsen, no less), and two pairs I’m thinking of trying out myself: Hereu’s Bena Interwoven sandal and Bassike’s eyelet detail ballerina flat.
These exact sandals from Ancient Greek Sandals have been my most-worn pair for the past ten summers, and when worn, they still look new (the sole, of course, is another matter). If you need more foot support, they've introduced a version with a footbed (with satin straps only for now, which is an odd choice).
If you’re looking for an evening sandal with more pizzazz, I’d look at this pair with its mirror leather discs or this beautiful beaded pair. Ancient Greek Sandals were also the original pioneers of the jelly sandals. A movement I’m yet to join, but if you’re into it, their latest jelly styles are generating a lot of buzz.
For beautifully crafted, embellished sandals that feel like an extension of your jewelry collection, Amanu should be on your radar. The brand began as a brick-and-mortar shop in West Hollywood, where customers could have custom sandals made in just 30 minutes. Having grown up in Africa, founder Anita Parkinson draws inspiration from the continent's artisanal traditions. Our favourites include the Cairo, the Kigali, and the colourful Constantia (a style they designed four years ago to celebrate the Pride Parade that went past the Amanu store in LA).
Smart Picks from the Summer Sales
DÔEN's annual online warehouse sale is on, where you’ll find past-season styles for up to 70% off. There are some great gingham pieces like this 60s-inspired dress with shell buttons and their best-selling Ischia Dress, which comes with a matching version for a little one in your life. If gingham isn’t your thing, check their 100% silk floral dresses or textured ruffled options. I also like their sweater tees, like this pointelle fine merino one, or this brushed alpaca one, a favourite of co-founder Katherine.
By Malene Birger just dropped new pieces. Standout pieces include the bubble-hem maxi skirt.
They also have a summer sale going on, which is a gold mine for those seeking elevated pieces in a neutral palette to wear to the office.
Toteme continues to add to their sale. If you're thinking ahead, there's a good chance to pick up future staples at a lower price, as most of it is fall and winter pieces. Some more versatile pieces you could start wearing now are their excellent cotton pleated pants or these cropped satin ones. If you’re new to Toteme, start with a pair of trousers; their fit is in a league of its own.
If your size is sold out, chances are you’ll find it amongst the Toteme Net-a-Porter sale.

Thank you so much for reading and supporting Every Body Gets Dressed.

I’m a convert to Saltwater Sandals! Not the best for 25k step days but perfectly fine for 10k step days and amazing for travel since they pack so small and can get away with being vaguely formal. I’ve finally admitted that I don’t get on with Birkenstocks and for running around town in this hot weather I’m reaching for a pair of classic Tevas
Love love LOVE the surrealist pieces!! 😍 The Amanu sandals are also so stunning.
