104. Rachel Comey High Summer, Aflalo’s All-Silk Collection, and Sexy Librarian Energy with Maria McManus
This is EVERY BODY GETS DRESSED’s weekly curated edit of the only fashion newness worthy of your attention.
The Rachel Comey summer launch is officially here, and it doesn’t disappoint. Experimental sister-photographer duo Anna and Maria Ritsch shot the campaign lookbook, bringing the clothing to life. Some of the standout pieces include those that play with structure, like this voluminous tiered midi dress (which could be styled perfectly with a chunky Italian leather clog). Or this other voluminous denim dress with contrast stitching. On the top side of things, this sleeveless peplum top, cut from their signature cotton foam, is styled with the matching raw hem A-line skirt.
There are also some fun sling-back sandals, as well as a bow headband that can be creatively worn as a hair adornment, belt, or even a necklace.

The COS sale is live (in the US only for now). As for newness, the brand has introduced some summer accessories this week, including this crochet bucket hat made from a knit cotton blend, this sculpted cuff crafted from recycled brass, and these dimensional espresso-toned droplet earrings. In the shoe department, these crossover-strap kitten-heel sandals can nicely complement your summer neutrals.
Donni has dropped the second part of their Summer collection, and it's all about stripes. This drop features 100% cotton staples, including signature poplin and lightweight jersey. These easy-to-style striped drawstring pants or this jersey relaxed boatneck are fun selections, along with the long-sleeved Pop shirt.
The founder of Donni,
, has a Substack (which she took a hiatus from but recently returned to), where she highlights all her favourite things. It’s always fun to see what a founder loves behind the scenes.
Métier has introduced Métier bespoke, a new made-to-order program featuring their Vérité collection in Coupé Woven, a traditional leather-weaving technique passed down through generations of artisans. The pieces are handcrafted in Italy from Nappa leather, with the option for custom engraving on the interior.
In other news, they're launching their biannual zine tomorrow, filled with games, puzzles, and summer recommendations.

For tennis players and those seeking new workout gear, Veronica Beard has launched a limited-edition capsule collection in collaboration with HEAD Sportswear, featuring Canadian tennis player Ayan Broomfield as the face of the campaign. The eight-piece collection includes the ace pleated tennis dress, a pleated tennis skort paired with a matching trim tank top, along with a matching workout set consisting of a sports bra and high-rise leggings.
Reformation launched a 25% off sale on a selection of pieces. I picked up a second colour of this top.
First seen on the Summer ‘25 runway, Toteme has released its leather wristlet online. It’s part bracelet, part purse, depending on how you wear it. It was styled on the runway with this sculptural cocoon tee dress (available in more sizes here).

Maria McManus launched its summer pre-fall collection. Some cool picks include these bow-leg crop jeans in washed black and this mesh shrunken polo (featuring their signature recycled 50/50 organic cashmere-cotton blend). A recent article I read described the brand perfectly as redefining sexy librarian.
Loewe celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Puzzle bag - we love its recent ‘Biker’ edition.
Destree, the label known for its architectural and geometric silhouettes, has recently collaborated with Martina Mondadori, the founder of Cabana Magazines, to unveil a capsule collection of tableware inspired by the warmth of Provence. Every item is thoughtfully crafted to enhance daily experiences, celebrating the art of gathering with floral and soft pastel hues. Some great selections include the yellow charger plate, blue dessert plate, or this floral tablecloth.
On a trip to New York City in January, I visited magazine lovers’ mecca CASA Magazines (a must-visit). I asked the shop owner which publications I should have on my radar, and they suggested Cabana’s. I immediately loved their signature textured covers, made from a variety of fabrics, including silk, Chanel tweed, and paisley designs, making the items true collector's pieces.

Aflalo’s summer collection is now shoppable. I love seeing almost every piece made of 100% silk, which should be, but isn’t always a given at this price point. Favourites include this silk habotai skirt, these silk and lace capris, the leather shorts, these sequin-embroidered shorts lined in silk (!!), and these voluminous and subtly sheer silk pants. Each can be easily dressed up or down.
Dorsey has just launched new nano emerald pieces like this James Bezel nano crystal emerald gold rivière necklace and bracelet.
This release couldn't have come at a more talked-about time; the brand was at the centre of a creative debate on Substack this week over a design overlap. We’ve got love for both sides— that said, neither of these beautiful bracelets seems to be a completely original idea. Cords have also been everywhere for a hot minute, as seen in the popular SS24 Miu Miu cord sandal. Thoughts?
Gabriela Hearst introduced her Pre-Fall 2025 collection. Hearst’s work sits at the highest end of the market, and it shows in the detail. Pieces like this linen silk dress, with intricate woven bow details along the lower back, are a masterclass in refined design. This pleated skirt features a pointelle pattern, offering a clever play of transparency and movement. These deerskin leather loafers bridge softness and structure, while their signature Lawrence sweater returns in fresh colourways.
Guest in Residence’s end-of-season sales continue and include this shrunken polo featuring a textured waffle stitch and this collared shirt dress crafted from a blend of silk and linen. Despite being off-season, Every Body Gets Dressed’s favourite cozy crew (I own three of these) is 50% off.
If you’re looking for a late Father’s Day gift or any man in your life, the menswear sale also has cool cashmere pieces, most of which are under $250.
To round things up with some fun beauty news, Saie Beauty celebrated the fifth anniversary of the Glowy Super Gel, its bestselling, award-winning multipurpose illuminator, with a very cool pop-up concept. The pop-up in West Hollywood featured a collection of vintage, archival, and contemporary lamps that illuminated a room. It was like a museum of vintage light fixtures.
Saie is one of many brands that have recently entered the newsletter space. Their Substack is one of the best of the bunch, with makeup artist tips and recommendations from Saie HQ.

I found the Salazar/Strachan conversation to be fascinating. My favorite take was from Thoughts & Wants (Syndey Englehart) who pointed out (in a very well-written way) that there is nothing new under the sun and that the better practice is humility in the creative pursuit. I think both women could have probably acknowledged that there was crossover but that no one was the *first* to do it either.
