Liza! How are you? Are you spending your summer in France? What are your 7 outfits this summer? I hope your suitcases make it with you this year xx hope you are well ❤️
I'm doing so well, thank you for asking! How are you?
I'm currently writing from Greece, where I am attending a wedding, but apart from this, I will mostly be sticking around London this summer. I am not complaining; London in the summer is my favourite place, believe it or not.
How about you?
I'll be working on some exciting things for the newsletter this summer. You've probably noticed I have been sticking to shopping content lately, but I will be back with fun long-form content soon, including extensive coverage of the seven outfits framework!
Thank you so much for your continuous support. I hope you have a gorgeous summer and that you will love what's coming! ❤️❤️❤️ xxx
idk, the tibi sale prices still seem sooooooo expensive to me, and i'm not convinced the pieces will stand the test of time. i say this because from what i see online, so many fans are always chasing the current season. so much ends up on the resale sites and just sits there. this is how it seems as an outsider to the fan club at least. what do others think?
That’s sooooo valid. And look, I feel like Tibi fans are the Swifties of the fashion world so I fear their wrath, haha. But it it doesn’t work for you or it doesn’t feel instinctive - don’t feel like you’re missing out. I would check what the experts like Rachel have to say (there’s more, I feel like my home page on Substack today is only Tibi sale roundups!) but here are my two cents:
- I stick to their 100% natural fabrics - they use quite a lot of synthetics and is one of the rare brands who do FOR THE RIGHT REASONS (design, structure, silhouette), rather than to cut costs. Still I stick to 100% natural because I know that’s what has longevity in my wardrobe.
- I go to Tibi to experiment with quirky designs (like the pleated short/skirt hybrid) because I know that they will have been carefully thought-through and not trend-led. However, I see those exaggerated silhouettes and even though I love what they do for other people, I leave them be because I know they would NOT work for me.
- I respect THE HELL out of Amy, their founder, I genuinely think no one does it like her and no brand out there creates clothes like she does with 0% vanity and 100% concern for making women feel confident and express themselves through clothes. That’s why I totally get the craze for Tibi and love to promote it in the newsletter even though I don’t necessarily shop there myself: I know a lot of product integrity goes into these clothes.
I don’t think they are trend led, I think the reason why their fans shop in season is because they are just *that* obsessed. I do this with brands I personally love like Totême. But yeah, you’ve got the right intuition: look at resale first to dip your toe in and see if it feels right. Don’t feel like you should just because everybody does. You know better than anyone what has longevity in your wardrobe.
Uniqlo cropped rib x 3 order confirmed! Thank you for calling these out!
Amazing, Veronica! Let me know how you get on with them! Xx
Perfect! Exactly what I was hoping for!

Absolutely stunning, I agree.
