Ooh, those pieces look so good on you! I also loved the COS show/new collection drop. Seeing it on the runway and being able to shop straight away is a genius move on their part.
Hi lovely! Thank you so, so much. And I agree re-COS, it was absolute genius. Makes you wish the traditional fashion week calendar would catch up. I loved it, if only for the styling inspiration element - seeing the pieces on the runway styled into outfits made me place a second order.
I remember the lightning in a bottle feeling of Target Collabs when I was growing up (pre-internet shopping days). I remember driving to Target in the wee hours of the morning and waiting for the doors to open so I could shop the Altuzarra x Target! Or going with my friend for the Lily Pulitzer x Target. The clothes realistically weren’t ground breaking but I totally GET collabs in that way.
That's really cool! I have similar memories from the very first H&M ones and the Kate Moss for Topshop ones. I also had a phase of hating on them as well for the 'value' aspect because they usually are pricier than the lesser collab partner (H&M, target, etc.)'s usual stuff for the same not-so-great fabric comp and not-so-great quality, etc. Now I'm more balanced about it - if a collab means someone will care for the garment longer and make them wear it more, I'm all for it.
Hi Liza! I love going through your curated list every week 😊. I’m loving that Reformation low-rise linen skort, but don’t they get too wrinkly? I tend to avoid 100% linen clothes because I find they are too high maintenance (ie, need to iron or steam thoroughly every time I want to wear them).
Hello lovely! How have you been? I'm sorry for the late reply. I'm having beef with Substack support because I have stopped getting notified of comments recently. Great question about the skorts! I also prefer stuff that's low maintenance. I just sent you some pictures of the shorts after a few wears and zero iron/steam so you can get an idea of what to expect. They're in your Substack DMs. The front has got a double layer and the back is lined so I think perhaps it helps a tiny bit because it really isnt too bad. I personally wouldn't buy 100% linen pants for the same reason as you but my rational with these was that even if I need to iron they are so freackishly tiny - it won't take that long, haha. Hope you have a beautiful week! Xxx
Hi Liza, I have been good, and you? thank you so much for sharing the pictures ☺️. Haha true they are really tiny! And I agree with you it’s actually not bad at all! I know brands love to make linen clothing for summer and it’s supposed to be more climate friendly than cotton, but I just can’t get over the fact that they will be wrinkly after 10 minutes of wear. But these look really good! Adding them to my wishlist 😉.
So many good things here and you look great in those Reformation outfits
Thank you dearest Sita! Xxx

PS: I have been LOVING your posts lately.
Absolutely, so much more inspiring than seeing it just on an ecom site.
Ahh thank you, that is so lovely to hear!
Fantastic overview - thanks for this!!
Thank you so much for your comment and continuous support lovely! Have a great week! X
