The Silk Set I Bought for Fashion Week, Plus Khaite’s New Low-Rise Jeans and Greta Lee’s Dress

Déhanche’s new belts and La Ligne’s gift to those of us who look best in murky neutrals

The only newness, sales, restocks, and pieces worth your attention. Each email closes with a section for paid subscribers devoted to independent brands and small-batch makers.

  • Déhanche gives its best-selling Hollyhock belt a little extra bling, adding Swarovski crystals to its signature rings. It also comes in mixed metals. Elsewhere, the new arrivals go in a much more minimal direction: the Brandt belt features a silver square buckle on alligator-embossed leather, while the Signet belt has a bezel-set onyx worked into its buckle. Don’t think of it as just a jeans belt: the Signet looks especially good styled over something spare, like a black maxi dress or a blazer.

  • Khaite Fall 2026 debuts today. This collection features clouds of floaty organza amidst a darkly theatrical ensemble of black velvet and leather. The most wearable and desirable pieces include the Colleen heel and wrapped Eve pump. There’s also new denim: the boldly low-rise Comforti jean and the cuffed and distressed Karo jean.

Spotted in Store

Pieces that caught my eye while shopping this week and look even better in person than they do online.

  • I went to see whether this textured silk set from Soeur’s latest arrivals looked as good in person as it did online: the crossover blouse and the matching wide-leg pants. It does. It’s a soft sage green, with a subtle pearly sheen to the silk. The elastic waistband on the trousers was a nice surprise. The whole thing feels incredibly elegant, so I bought the set to wear to New York Fashion Week. I also bought the light gray Izumi blouse, which I had scrolled past online. In person, it has an organza-like look and is gorgeous over a silk bra. It’s also slightly discounted. I want it in black too, but I need to work out what I’d wear it with first. Both are great on their own, but the silk knit tank layered over the t-shirt in the same material looks super swanky.

  • La Ligne is building on the success of its best-selling Colby pants with a matching tank top, cut on the bias from the same Japanese satin for that fluid drape. I like that the neckline is low, but the straps are still wide enough to cover a bra. If you don’t want the full set, I’d contrast it with these new cargo pants in camel. It’s the color I reach for with navy, brown, and black cashmere in winter. Further good news for those of us who look best in murky neutrals (hi!), the brand has introduced Taupe, a shade between dark gray and soft brown, and a welcome addition to our rather limited palette. It is available across best-sellers including the satin Colby pants, Marin sweater, and its cropped version.

  • High Sport Fall 2026 is here, bringing new colorways of the Kick Pant: a very wearable army green, a Bowie-esque black and red seersucker, and my personal favorite, a navy and brown cosmic paisley. Also finally available is the Elton dress, which Greta Lee wore on the red carpet in London three months ago: slinky viscose, a cowl-neck, star jacquard, and fringed hem.

  • Róhe introduced Fall Winter 2026 with the kind of trouser silhouettes that can carry a whole winter wardrobe: these sculptured cummerbund pants and these double waistband pants. The same idea carries into this skirt with a layered boxer detail peeking above the waistband. The brand’s signature pankou-closure jacket is back in new colors and textures, including this crushed-fabric version in optic white.

  • Comme Si gave us new tops and dresses this summer; now come the bottoms. First, a drawstring linen Bermuda short, arriving optimistically late in the summer. More interesting to me is the new Everyday pant in cupro twill, which joins that family of fluid, elastic-waist pants with a slight sheen that includes The Row’s Gala, La Ligne’s Colby, and Enza Costa’s Everywhere pants.

Restocked

  • Tibi favorites, including the crispy nylon Winslow pants, crispy nylon Stella shorts, lightweight sweatshirting Winslow pants, and Sid jeans, are back for pre-order.

  • Veronica Beard’s twice-sold-out puffer blazer is back in stock, with new colors too.

  • My favorite long-sleeved T-shirt (it also happens to be Hailey Bieber’s, for a more glamorous endorsement) is from Reformation, and has just been restocked in a new colorway: white with light blue stripes.

  • Le Monde Béryl’s micro-wedge thong sandal is back in aubergine Naplack leather.

  • &Daughter has restocked the T-knits. I’m loving the long-sleeve slouchy in aqua.

  • La Ligne’s cropped Colby pant is back in every size and every color.

  • Still Here restocked the Sport jean in burnt orange.

  • Jude makes outrageously sexy shoes, and for Fall 2026 the brand is introducing four new heel silhouettes. The Icon pump leans hardest into the brand’s sexier side: a peep-toe stiletto pump in red or black patent leather, or in creased barolo leather. The Bonnie pump goes in a more austere, subtly retro direction, with a block heel and an almond toe.

  • Nili Lotan’s Fall 2026 collection heads West. The designer built the collection around a pair of Western boots, the Wayne belt, and the fringed Asher bag. The iconic Shon gets the Americana treatment, arriving in a new lived-in mid-wash denim, deep burgundy leather, and tawny corduroy.

  • TWP’s Fall 2026 collection is here, with at least three pieces worth a closer look. The Double Take blazer is cut from trench twill and finished with a layered lapel, while the Isabelle pants come in vintage-washed poplin with a relaxed straight leg and contrast side stripes. The brand’s best-selling Didi pants, a wide-leg office favorite, are back in Italian wool twill.

  • If you’re looking for a shoe to pair with the jeans you’ll be back in in a few weeks, Margaux has a new pointed-toe ballet flat, the Salamanca. It comes in black or brandy nappa leather, and leopard suede.

  • Staud and Birkenstock collaborated on the Loma clog suede, available in pepper (a dusty rosewood), beige, and charcoal.

  • Kallmeyer added new pieces to its sale including leather jackets like this one with a lambskin leather shawl collar, the horseshoe-shaped Clemence pants in waffle weave, and rose-printed pieces from its latest summer drop, like the asymmetric Romy top.

  • Frame brings its low-rise Gray jeans (at this point, do they even need an introduction?) into autumn with espresso brown and cappuccino cream.

  • Sold Out NYC operates in similar territory to AYR, with a mission to perfect one version of every wardrobe basic (you know I’m allergic to that phrase) and make it really good. You probably know the brand for its Iconically Soft Perfect Tee, a regular on content creators’ “best white T-shirt” lists, or the Everywhere pant, a relaxed pull-on style with a subtle barrel leg and pleated front. Prices sit roughly in the AYR range too: $90 for the Perfect Tee and $255 for the Everywhere Pant. For fall, the brand is leaning into the pop of red that works well in a transitional wardrobe, with this windbreaker and this short-sleeved polo.

  • This is probably the last week I’ll get away with reporting on summer dressing. I’m heading to Comporta tomorrow for summer’s last, and best, chapter: the annual girls’ trip. This is not the trip for style experimentation or Instagrammable fashion heroics. I packed for love, laughter and relaxation. My Venroy poplin boxers are coming with me, to wear every day with a button-down to the beach. They’re exactly the kind of summer piece I almost forget to buy, then wear for two months straight because nothing feels better in hot, sticky weather. The Aussie brand does easy summer dressing well. I deeply regret not also ordering these green terry shorts in time. If your last summer chapter is already behind you, look instead at this silk bralette blouse and their cashmere tank, the fall equivalent of those poplin boxers in wearability.

  • The Ancient Greek Sandals end-of-summer sale is here, with a broad selection, so I recommend filtering by size first. My top three picks span different moods: this evening sandal with a coral embellishment, this earthy-toned suede sandal, and this ochre satin slipper. Naturally, I placed an order the day before the sale went live and bought this very basic, very useful jelly flip-flop for my trip. That colorway had been on my wishlist for three summers.

Small Brand Finds

Independent brands, small-batch makers and the pieces you are unlikely to see everywhere else. Because these finds are made in limited quantities and often priced more affordably, they are reserved for paid subscribers. The links beyond the paywall are not affiliate links.

In this week’s edit: $200 candy-pink wool crossbody bags, glove-like pointed pumps, crinkled satin Bermuda shorts, fun socks that even minimalists should investigate, and Barcelona-based labels to know.
