A weekly summary of the only newness, sales, and restocks worth your attention.
TWP’s just-dropped Holiday collection has me giddy for the brand’s imminent London store opening. I love the mannish Highway shirt. The Eloise silk gown reminds me of Khaite’s Candita dress, which I have seen several brides choose as their welcome night dress. This one’s price tag is still in the four digits (just), but half the price of Khaite’s. This dress has at least your next ten Christmas parties in her. The capsule also includes two of the brand’s classics in their most polished versions yet: the Oli layered lapel blazer and the Boyfriend shirt with a built-in silk organza layer. It might even be good enough for me to go braless.
This one comes with a slight bias toward shorter readers. I have mentioned it here countless times, but Anine Bing makes my favorite oversized blazer. It is unlined, warm, and cut from a cashmere-wool blend with a broad, boxy shape, but because it’s not too long, it works well on shorter frames. The sleeve length works for me without alteration, which is unheard of. The shoulders are BIG. The shape owes more to the ‘80s than to today’s oversized blazers. There’s something slightly out of time about it—Anine Bing is hardly a trend-led brand—and that’s what I like about it. Over the years, I have collected it in dark green, chalk, and, as of last week, gray. Today, the brand released it in burgundy. Sizing notes: Go down one size from your usual size without hesitation. I also got these jeans, which, unlike the blazer, feel very much of the moment, especially if you follow my sizing notes. The inseam is 29 inches, so if you’re short, the straight leg pools over the shoe just enough. You also don’t need to hem them. Bingo. Sizing notes: Take your true size for a closer, more classic fit. I wanted them to sit lower on my hips with a little drag across the seat, so I went up one size. I love them this way.
Comme Si’s flannel plaid Winchester shirt launches with a very cool backstory: contrast collars and cuffs began as a practical solution dating back to the 1800s. These areas wore out faster than the rest of the shirt, so they were made detachable, and usually in white, so they could be paired with different shirt bodies. By the 20th century it had become the favored uniform of bankers, lawyers, and financiers. Comme Si’s version uses the same signature silhouette as their La Shirt Classica, a relaxed, desk-to-dinner fit. The collar doesn’t come off on this one, but you can use Jess Graves’ trick and apply hairspray to the spots where the collar comes in contact with your face and neck to prevent makeup from transferring.
Shopping That Gives Back
For the month of October, Dieux is donating 1% of net proceeds from its website to the Joyful Heart Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse. For anyone with sensitive, acne-prone skin like mine, I recommend the gel cream and the gentle foaming cleanser.
If you love Alex Mill’s perfect everyday tote, this is the time to get it in pink. It is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the brand will be donating 40% of net proceeds from the pink tote to support breast cancer research at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Coucou Intimates will donate 100% of profits from pink bras this October to Breast Cancer Prevention Partners. Choose between the Balconette and the Petite bra (The name is confusing, but sizing goes up to XXL. Sizes L and above come with wider, adjustable straps.)
I have been waiting for &Daughter’s striped Torin polo to drop. It’s patchworked from four different rugby stripes. I’d button it all the way up and wear it under a tailored black wool coat. It also comes in a deep brown and a warm, almost salmon pink. As I mentioned last week, I just bought three sweaters from the brand. Lo and behold, the collared cardigan I wore for six of the last seven days is the one I almost left in my cart. It might have something to do with watching Dakota Johnson wear a gray cardigan in most scenes of Verity.
The second drop of 6397’s fall collection is here. It brings the Corduroy Roomy in a new colorway that reminds me of candied papaya in a tropical fruit mix. There are a few sizes left of the turquoise and dark purple from the first drop. Also just in is the gold velvet Marker scarf to match the selvedge dress or wear with coats, blazers, and sweaters. If you’re into gold velvet, I’d buy these before the velvet pieces from Reformation’s collection with Alexa Chung.

Splurging on Khaite shoes has led to some of the best buys in my wardrobe. Next month, my money is going toward the Valerie collection: the dramatic pumps or the graphic mid-calf boots. With or without a Black Friday discount.
COS began its 25% off Friends and Family sale, which includes a small selection of items. If it were available in Europe, I’d be buying new colorways of my long-sleeved Clean Cut tee (you must size up two sizes for the perfect fit). I also recommend this double-faced wool long coat, which is a newer version of the coat I wore most last winter. Excluded from the sale is the newly launched cashmere store. I have it on good authority that the brand improved the quality of its cashmere after mixed feedback last year. The early reviews I’ve come across seem to corroborate that.
Yes, Liffner is everywhere. Still, I try to rotate through my other bags, but my small Pushlock clutch, along with this one from CO, wins out every time I leave the house to do something nice or after 5 PM. Of the new fall colors, I’d choose the brown crushed velvet or plum suede. If carrying it under your arm isn’t for you, the bigger version has a shoulder strap.
La Ligne’s Cropped Colby Satin pants arrive in a fall olive green shade.
Frame continues to capitalize on the success of the Gray by releasing it in black velvet. That’s a great winter date-night pant right there. Earlier this week, I watched a content creator weed out her extensive knitwear collection, and she kept every Frame sweater and spoke highly of all of them. She inspired me to scroll, and I zeroed in on this curiously compelling fringed jacket/sweater layer situation.
This week, Nili Lotan releases the Shon (also known as the pants that look incredible on everyone but me) in inky blue, chalk, and hazelnut corduroy. The more forgiving Tribeca now comes in cashmere pinstripe and leather. Dakota Johnson (again!) was spotted in the Swan cropped blazer. Sizing notes: Size down one, preferably two sizes in the Shon; take your true size in the Tribeca.
Jeanerica collaborates with Scottish cashmere house Begg x Co on a small knitwear collection that includes this cardigan, with a button at the side that fastens for a wrapped fit, and this European-looking 100% cashmere beret. The yarn was chosen in rich neutrals to pair perfectly with the brand’s denim and chinos. Readers of this newsletter and I both love the Kyoto range.
Déhanche expands into men’s belts. Guys are so difficult to shop for that we might as well start ahead of the holidays. On the women’s side, they’ve restocked the crystal Hollihock belt. Also, have you seen the chunky chain necklace they made, inspired by its best-selling belt?

Venroy offered to send me pieces from the latest collection to try. I’m keeping this sexy 100% silk top for date nights. These lightweight wool pants have the polish of tailored trousers with a cheeky pleated waist. I would want to wear them slung low on my hips, but had to come to terms with the fact that shortening them to fit my 4’11” frame will not work with such a wide leg. If you have the height, you’ll love them. The piece that blew me away is the V-neck cashmere-wool sweater. The fit is relaxed, with a ribbed V-neck that sits beautifully at the collarbone. It will be one of the least expensive sweaters I own and easily a favorite.
Swedish Stockings brings back (for the last time as per the press release) the punchy Roxana tiger print tights that were inspired by Chloë Sevigny and released in collaboration with Leandra Medine. They’re back in riotous yellow, pink, and red. I don’t have this pair, but I have others from the brand that have served me well for two winters now.
For the colder months, Negative Underwear drops best-selling styles from the Whipped, Sieve, and Waffle Knit lines in ‘Cypress’, a deep green. Sizing Notes: For the Whipped Henley and any of the brand’s long-sleeved tops, customers like to size up one or two sizes to avoid the sleeves feeling too tight. I wrote a full review of the bras for bigger boobs here.
