125. Proof of Life: A Chic Puffer Coat, At Last.
Toteme's First Access and Chic Holiday Sweaters
This is EVERY BODY GETS DRESSED’s weekly edit of the only fashion news worthy of your attention.
The first pieces of Toteme’s Pre-Spring 26 collection are here; you just have to be signed in and go to their First Access page. We like the jackets, specifically this cinched pocket jacket and this floral slouch blazer. There is also a pair of wedge pumps, which look incredibly sharp and undoubtedly will be as tough to break in as this croc-embossed slingback I picked up from Harrods last week. The wedge will have greater longevity.
When a fashion brand joins forces with a sneaker house, it invariably produces a pulled-back shoe sans the prominent branding and athletic look. Nike’s LD-1000 ‘EDITION A’ sneaker collaboration with Aritzia is no different. Its brown, muted silhouette is crafted from soft leather and features a downsized Nike swoosh and one of two custom-designed Aritzia charms selected at random for an element of surprise. Aritzia has also launched a new selection of silk, poplin, and flannel pyjamas. If, like me, you run warm at night, opt for the crisp and breathable poplin. If you’d rather be cozy, the flannel will be warmer. The silk pair brings a luxe feel to quotidian weeknights.

Dorsey, who keeps designing for those of us who have multiple ear piercings, has released the Odette and the Maxwell. They both come in graduated sizes for stacking. Before receiving the Maxwell, I wondered whether it would be too similar to my beloved Lucien pair. The new style looks more classic and less vintage, sits closer to the lobe, and is bigger (when comparing them side by side in a size Medium).
La Ligne launched a Birkenstock collab this morning that includes a pair of clogs in tan and navy. We’re mainly looking at Chloe Fineman in the campaign that came with the collection. Also, the brand’s sold-out Leopard print 100% calf suede Caro coat is available for pre-orders now and for another six days.
In Paris last month, The Row hired legendary hair stylist Guido Palau to herald the return of the chignon, serving up models with their hair twisted into varying sculptural masses, held in place by minimalist clips and pins. The look can be emulated using Lié Studio’s new hair collection being released today: Liza particularly likes the Maude and Poppy barrettes. Brooches have always been a staple in Juno’s mother’s wardrobe, so, for the sake of sentimentality, she also loves the minimalist Elo pin, in silver and gold.

Tory Burch launched their holiday collection with an Alex Consani-fronted campaign to boot. We sure are dazzled by the sequin-embellished version of the Pierced bag, this pair of brown sandals with a decorative tulip brooch, this modern tutu-like jersey dress, and the black version of the mirrorwork dress that trended this summer.
On-the-nose Christmas sweaters are now flooding brands like Khaite, in all their cozy glory. Guest In Residence just released this tipped cashmere turtleneck and a slightly playful version of Every Body Gets Dressed’s favourite cozy crew. Bally’s latest collection is centered around Christmas patterns and luxe knitwear. I like the orange cable knit turtleneck, which I would pair with an otherwise monochromatic black or brown look.
If you’re averse to obvious bedazzlement, satin makes for a great alternative for the holiday season. Leset has just introduced new colorways and styles to its barb satin collection, garments constructed from Japanese-crafted satin with a draped effect. The barb shell blouse can be worn under a blazer on workdays when you have evening plans. For holiday parties, it can be styled with the matching bias skirt. Chic puffer jackets are almost impossible to find (so often hinting at teenhood or the ski slopes), but Leset’s barb satin bomber and Bo shawl puffer coat make for elegant options. They were the brand’s #2 and #9 top-selling items last month, respectively. You can get them in a size up to layer over sweaters this winter.

Some brands make playlists; Aflalo makes wine lists. November’s curation includes a Vincent Dauvissat Chablis and a Bartolo Mascarello Barolo. But if shopping is your vice over a dry white, we love the Zadie jacket in suede, the Orwell jean (which, thanks to its rigid denim, lifts all the places that look good lifted), these topstitched low-rise pants, and this wool-silk short jacket. Wear the latter buttoned to the top, and embellished with the mentioned gold pin from Lié Studio.
This week, Net-a-Porter delivered newness from The Row and Khaite. Liza loves Khaite’s floral embroidered mini silk-chiffon shorts paired with the Loe draped satin blouse, and Juno is lusting after the Jane zebra-print and black calf hair flats. Pair them with wool socks in winter for a rich, mixed-texture look. Although The Row’s collection is a little predictable, we are drawn to the Mariam turtleneck sweater in taupe and the Alarico suede coat. New (to Net-A-Porter) designer Arma offers another suede coat in a longer length, a warmer shade, and a fraction of the price.
