This is EVERY BODY GETS DRESSED’s weekly curated edit of the only fashion newness worthy of your attention.
Tory Burch came through with another set of great new arrivals this week. The stark red hues within this V-neck sweater and spiral-inspired skirt will catch your eye. If the red-hot shade isn’t for you, the same wrap skirt style is in a taupe plaid fabric. The gathering and pleating on this poplin dress give the piece interesting texture and movement. In case you’re on the hunt for a MBD (midi black dress), this jersey shirt dress and its draping and clinging silhouette might be the one.

Pants With Superior Fit
In a win for tall and petite sizing everywhere, Frame has updated its bestselling styles by adding new inseams to accommodate women of different heights. The extended size range includes the baggy, wide-legged Loose jean, the high-waisted, fitted and flared Palazzo jean, and the narrow-fitting, bootcut Rodeo jean.
Readers of the newsletter already know that I think Studio Nicholson designs the best pants on the market. This season, they’re debuting several new styles. The Nasser pleated pants stood out to me as the best piece of the season. We also love these straight-cut poplin pants that sit right below the waist, as well as this pleated style with a subtly curved silhouette. The Chalcos are my all-time favourite baggy jeans/pants. They are now available in a new washed black color that, along with the low-crotch, curved shape, and oversized fit, certifies them with a vintage look. New tops played with shapes, too. The Arles top’s boning and outward flaring made peplum look surprisingly modern.

Tibi has been adding snaps to the hem of their jeans and pants. Tibi’s Senior Stylist Graciela Molina shares:
“We wanted to be more inclusive with our items. For a long time we leaned into volume and length for our styles. That obviously only catered to a certain demographic of people. As we saw the attention the brand was attaining, we thought this was a nice update to our bottoms. The snap hemline opened the ability for those who were shorter to participate in the brand, as well as extend styling options and functionality for everyday wear. We've added them to our wide-leg Sid jeans, Winslow pants, Scotties, Triple pleat pants, compact Meir trousers, and seersucker Stellas.
We have this rule — a formula if you will — which helps us adjust the eye to volume and how to have it read on the body. It's called “big, slim, skin.” I would probably pair it with a baby tee, a tank and shirt jacket combo. If I'm really in the mood, I’ll throw on an oversized button-down and leather bomber jacket with it. I love wearing heels with jeans, so a pointy-toed kitten heel or my Tabi boots would probably fit in with any one of these combinations.”
Rachel Comey launched new styles in an Indigo Mission Denim fabric with styles that sit on your body the way you’d prefer it to: they dropped separate versions of wide-legged jeans that sit at the lower or higher waist. These Lutta and Wain pants also have an adjustable drawstring at the hem and allow for wide and billowy styles.
The Best of Casualwear
This optical illusion Flute tank within Baserange’s latest arrivals is both lounge and layer-worthy. Try adding it over long sleeves and fitted tees. I also like how this top blends a high V-neck and a ruffled polo collar into one neckline. These oversized, mocha-hued poplin pants immediately reminded me of fellow Substacker Jennifer Galante Han’s recent post about how parachute pants replaced leggings. Until now, I hadn’t seen brands highlight the smocking detail that most track pants have. Here, Baserange exaggerated it in the most alluring way. I’d keep it simple when styling this one. Wear it with a pointed, elevated heel and a fitted top.

Within LeSet’s newest August Collection release, their softly collared merino wool polo refines the casual prep look by removing buttons from the placket area and adding a tighter ribbed finish to the waistline. Taking notes from your everyday zip hoodie, they also created an oyster-colored lambswool cardigan. Their bias skirt is at a maxi length — make sure you have a go-to heel or boot on hand to wear this with. Bias skirts are designed to cling to the natural form of your body. It hugs your frame without confining it. While it doesn’t restrict movement, it might prevent you from picking up your other go-to bottoms — Liza wore the mini version of the skirt almost every day this summer and could not take it off. Their Labor Day Sale is live. We’re stocking up on the Lauren pants to wear while working from home. Take a look at the sequined and crystal styles included in the (final) sale, like the wide leg pant, sleeveless dress and this midi skirt.
Comme Si has released their adjustable silk twill drawstring pant in new prints. You might like these vibrantly striped Sedona and Taos color combinations. Pairing with a white or cream-colored button-down would do the trick. AYR’s best-selling linen button-down and its longer, looser fit tunic version are both on a special archive sale in case you need some options.
Reformation’s landscape-striped roomy and slim-fitting cashmere sweaters are another set of pieces that are visually comforting but refined enough to wear when on the go.
Need footwear to pair with any of the above? Look into Everlane’s nappa leather-lined clog slip-on, or square-shaped Gallery flat — the shoe in its new milky, suede material will attract eyes while giving a more comfortable, roomier fit than the typical round toe flat. We reviewed Everlane’s flat quality and fit in this story from our I Shopped Your Wishlist series:
Texture For Fall
Reformation launched suede and leather pieces in collaboration with NYC-based leather goods brand Veda. This tailored leather jacket has inset pockets and makes the usually bulky appearance of pockets in leather jackets invisible. This fuss-free look is considerably hard to find when shopping for leather coats (see these search results for “leather jacket” on MyTheresa, Farfetch, and Google to understand what I mean). These low-rise micro shorts will look great with a simple cardigan or button-up, or check out how we styled similar suede shorts in our transitional weather 12-piece capsule edit. You may have to pair these with tights to get ahead of the cold weather. Right now, Swedish Stockings has a sitewide 4 for 3 tights sale (ending very soon). Liza’s pick from the collab is this oversized bomber, while this suede burgundy overcoat is Nneka’s favorite. It’s stunning thanks to its pointed collar, wide arms and large tortoise shell-inspired buttons. You can wear it over a mini dress or thigh-length shorts with some ankle-length socks or boots.

LeSet has a new collarless blouson. Its bouclé material, cropped style, and balloon-inspired shape give it a fun, playful vibe. Wear it with a bright turtleneck for a hint of color at your neckline.
Check out this fringe plaid wrap-around skirt, alpaca bubble hem coat (if your budget stretches that far, this is the coolest and most unique coat we’ve seen come out of Pre-Fall 2025 so far), and lambskin leather pant from Proenza Schouler’s latest arrivals. The ruched, long-sleeve Paloma top is also back in new colors. I tracked down its white version on sale and it’s $123 down from $295 at Bloomingdales. The design of their new ruched Tee shearling slippers is very special — when wearing these, only you will know that you have heels on, as its low stacked platform isn’t visible over the slippers’ thick and fluffy heel backing. However, its lively, furry texture makes it easy to feel like you put effort into your look.
Kallmeyer released their Fall collection. Their Clemence pants are now available in wool gazar fabric, a material developed for couturier Cristobal Balenciaga when he was designing voluminous ball gowns in the late 1950s and early 60s. This material is also what this softly pleated strapless dress is made of. The Fatima trouser is a softer, more fluid pant, but because it’s tailored with liquid twill and has a luminous, dispersed finish, it feels formal and sophisticated.
The brand’s monthly playlist is out on Spotify, and you might discover someone new you’ll enjoy. I’ve added artists Mk.gee and Sam Gendel to my rotation after listening to it.
Emme Parsons’ new flat mule is a minimal alternative to Proenza’s slippers and includes more shades. I’d pick it in caramel suede. If you prefer a rich, deep color I like the burgundy version of their new, angular Tramonto Mary-Jane. The black version of these is made with croc-embossed leather.

Ugh obsessed with Mk.gee!
