This is EVERY BODY GETS DRESSED’s weekly curated edit of the only fashion newness worthy of your attention.
Good Things Come in T’s
Tory Burch’s new arrivals include a vibrant paisley silk wrap skirt, a pinstriped asymmetrical skirt (see how we styled the matching shirt in Sunday’s 12-piece capsule fall edit), and a gray deconstructed denim midi with a frayed hem. The silk mirror skirt that was so popular with many of you this summer is back in stock and on sale for $719, down from $1,320. Tory also launched a Travel version of the Reva ballet flat that’s designed for life in motion; it features an ultra-flexible sole that can fold and an inverted heel cushion to absorb the endless steps of airport days. The chocolate brown suede version is a standout. Lastly, Tory’s pierced handbag now comes in a smaller, cherry red version.
Those on the lookout for pieces that will make their work wardrobes more interesting might want to take a look at Tibi’s newness, particularly the sculpted Meir trousers, sporty nylon ribbon and Crispy nylon maxi skirts. The stretch denim knit Winslow pants in the gray and classic blue washes are great elevated work-from-home buys. Dress them up with the new pebbled leather zip-up jacket.
Toteme’s pre-fall 2025 collection is now live. You’ll like the flounce and functionality of their water-resistant Parachute coat. The fringed scarf dress is another simple go-to for tricky, in-between weather. They’ve also released their classic wide-leg trousers in a lightweight flannel and wool blend. Another top pick is the pinstriped trousers in the pepper shade.
The Power of an Adaptable Dress
Powerful styling and layering can change the role of dresses in your wardrobe. Choosing the right dress makes it even more versatile; Khaite’s Candita, in silk georgette with a flared hem, is a perfect example. This bride even wore the cornflower blue version on night 1 of her Greek wedding.
COS released the boiled merino wool midi dress that Cassandra Lanrick is obsessed with, and is responsible for some of her favourite outfits — Cassandra is one of our favourite creators and by far the kindest; see her twirl in the dress here. Imagine an elongated, relaxed fit front-pocket sweater vest that ends right between the knee and the ankle. This season, it comes in either this gray melange or this deep brown shade. Preferring to layer it instead of wearing it solo, Cassandra pairs it with button-ups, crewnecks, polos, and her everyday white tee. Whether you go for a heel or slip-on, we recommend a narrow shoe or pointed toe— it would go well with the dress’s flowy, woolly nature.

Another dress with layering possibilities is Posse’s Ezra dress. Along with looking great on its own, its square neckline and creamy white color channels the look of overalls with the added refined, embroidered details. It will pair well with a lightweight base and a crew neckline for a more casual look.
St. Agni’s taffeta cocoon dress is another good example. It features slim straps, a V-neckline, and a roomy but structured fit that helps dress it up or down. The brand is showing it styled in a myriad of ways, which is extremely helpful, including with the dress’s top half flipped over and paired with their contrast piping red halter top and perforated belt. If you love an all-black look and opt for the same dress in black, the crispiness of the taffeta fabric will bring a texture play. You can do the same top-flipping styling trick with the halter top in black.

AYR’s Practice T-shirt dress has drop shoulders and an overall boxy fit. It’s able to hold all of this structure as a dress because of its heavier, higher-quality cotton material and jersey knit construction. The feel of what AYR dubs the Dime Knit is a more sturdy material that will hold its shape. I recommend pairing this with a pointed heel to dress it up, or keep it simple and casual with sneakers or other round-toe silhouettes. If, like me, you’re only now discovering AYR’s tightly edited basics, make sure to check the recommendations Bec shared in last week’s Season-Outfit Season column as their pieces are part of her heavy rotation.
If you like a relaxed fit T-shirt dress but want a more luxe fabric, opt for Co’s fine cashmere version. The dress’s olive color refines its look while its crewneck and outward sleeves stay true to the basic shape that inspired it.
Season-transcending Favorites
Khaite released the Miranda skirt, a slip-on style that’s made from merino wool with an enticing asymmetrical silhouette. It’s got the makings of a modern basic, destined for heavy rotation.
Nili Lotan launched their top denim styles, like the Shon, Joan, and Florence Jean, in a new Indigo rinse. It’s dark Japanese denim with a slight elasticity for comfort, fit, and movement. Denim at its most elevated.
Posse’s new collection arrived this week, and the plaid knit pieces are the most noteworthy. The off-shoulder top folds neatly across the chest, while the matching kick-flare pants hit above the ankle with small side slits. Overall, a very polished, timeless set.

Guest in Residence launched the new shawl-collared Stealth cardigan. The cozy crew sweater was brought out in a warm cinnamon color for fall. As I have mentioned multiple times in the newsletter, this is my favourite sweater, which I have in the midnight blue, a now-discontinued brown melange, and the aubergine one (it looks more like a bright color than a neutral IRL). The sweater is on sale on FWRD in rainforest green and sungold yellow.
Complementing the Look
Accessories brand Liffner just released new Pre-Fall handbags.
Liza’s picks: “I like the emerald belted clutch for an evening option, the Zip Penne tote as an all-around carry-all, and the dark brown Bowling bag, good for those who want to experiment with this half-moon shape at a more accessible price point than The Row’s Margaux. The mini Sprout in herb suede or micro dalmatian is good to lift a neutral outfit”.
Nneka’s picks: “I like the size of the round leather basket. The Pillow shoulder bag can hold all of my essentials, too. Its handle is adjustable, so it’s practical for layering throughout the colder seasons. I also think the soft feeling of suede against the skin is underrated— the bag would just feel good. Lastly, right now, it’s 30% off in black.”
One shoe that’s shaping up to be the most popular accessory out of Khaite’s newest collection is the Britt haircalf textured clog slip-on. It will add contrast to an outfit from three different focal points: the golden side-paneled studs & buckle, the wooden platform, and the dark cherry color of the haircalf. This is a good buy if you often wear all black and want to mix textures to make your outfit more intriguing. Padded insoles make it a comfortable, all-day choice, too.
