101. Tory's Pierced Bag Drops, Sarah Paulson Stars in a Campaign, and Dorsey Sells Out Another Necklace
Apparently It’s Still Not Bare-Leg Season
EVERY BODY GETS DRESSED’s weekly curated edit of the only fashion newness worthy of your attention.
Tory Burch finally dropped the Pierced Bag, the long-awaited follow-up to their now-cult, piercing-embellished shoes. The silhouette, spotted on Chloe Fineman, Amanda Seyfried, Martha Stewart, and nearly every front row guest at their Fall ’25 show, has been hotly anticipated. It’s available in four colours on Tory’s site, while SSENSE carries the sold-out dark cabernet shade as well as an exclusive weathered tan. It’s a big week for the brand and the retailer, who also partnered on the exclusive launch of the newly revisited Reva flat. This will register instantly for anyone who remembers the early 2000s as an era of ballerinas, bootcut jeans, and giant It-bags. As
noted in her launch coverage, the Reva is the ‘Chanel 2.55 of ballet flats’: ubiquitous, aspirational, and easy to make your own. Initially preppy to a fault, the shoe has been updated with a bevelled silver medallion, now cut out to reveal a peek of toe cleavage. Style them with low-slung, wide-leg trousers—as on the Spring ’25 runway—to take them somewhere cooler.

Savette’s Symmetry Pochette has been on my personal wishlist for years, and the new sepia suede version—part of their just-dropped collection—might finally be the one I buy. I’ve proof-of-concepted this bag silhouette through near-daily use of my Hunting Season top-handle bag. This shade is what I like to call a fake-neutral: rich yet grounded, and more practical than the no-less-delicious new pink suede shade. It’s also available in the roomier shoulder bag version if you want a bit more function. Other standouts from the collection: the coffee calf leather and silver hardware combination in the slim version of the pochette.
Winter is back in London—joy. I’ve bought a few new skirts recently, so I’m back in tights, rotating between Swedish Stockings’ dark amber tiger print (with my tan suede mini) and their petite black dot pair that works with everything else. The patterns are keeping me optimistic until bare-leg season returns. I asked the brand if they’d share a code for subscribers, and they kindly agreed. Use LIZA25 for 25% off.

While browsing Net-a-Porter’s new arrivals, this Carven sculptural cady top stood out. It’s the kind of top that will sharpen whatever it’s paired with (
, I feel like that this has your name all over it!). I love it styled with Carven’s sheer black midi skirt. A styling formula that can carry through spring, summer and into fall with just a shoe swap. Also new: this black 16Arlington paillettes camisole. A piece that can skew sexy or off-duty depending on what you pair it with; long denim shorts by day, a sheer skirt at night. It’s lightweight, low-effort, and impactful. The type of top that earns its keep (for $370).Dorsey broke the internet again, this time with their Paracord necklace - a slider of lab-grown gems on a soft nylon cord that can be worn layered or as a standalone choker. It hits the sweet spot between sporty and polished. They sold out in less than 48 hours, and the brand just made them available for (limited) pre-orders, shipping in 6 to 8 weeks. If you’re not that patient, the blue sapphire on navy cord (pictured below) is back in stock now.

In transitional denim, Agolde released a baggy shorts version of their V-front jeans, worth a try if straight waistbands feel too stiff or if high-rise denim shorts overwhelm your frame (especially if you're on the shorter side). Also, a good entry point for anyone curious about the low-rise revival without fully committing.
James Street is an independent brand that keeps coming back on my radar —founded by Utah-based designer Jess Reese, the brand started as a one-woman knitwear project and has quietly grown into a full ready-to-wear line rooted in texture, layering, and longevity. There’s still something small and thoughtful about it. From the latest collection, I’d flag their pinstripe track denim, a dual-zip cotton cardigan (I no longer buy zipped tops unless they unzip from both ends; I like leaving the bottom open to show a waistband, it makes a whole look feel more nonchalant), a merino wool vest for layering over tees, and a cotton trench bomber jacket.

Aritzia launched their summer collection, including clean-lined linen dresses that rival much higher price points. Standouts: the Fitzgerald strapless linen dress (bonus points for the built-in bra, which I haven’t seen on the more expensive versions of this dress), a flattering fit-and-flare silhouette, and a strapless top that’s properly finished with a concealed zip at the back—no shirring, elastic, or chunky zippers, which you often see on cheaper versions of tops like these. Also worth noting: this cotton poplin bubble hem midi skirt.
In my relentless search for actual mini-length skirts, I came across Sandy Liang’s latest collection, which does in fact include not-very-modest pleated minis that show a lot of leg. Fear not: they’re skorts. Available in sturdy neutrals like brown, navy, and grey, or a mint shade if you’re after something brighter. Then there’s this white cotton babydoll dress, which is heavy on detail in the best way—scoop neck, ruffled skirt, pleated back. The best white cotton dress I have seen come out of summer ‘25 so far.

If a pierced bag isn’t your speed… Métier made another strong showing and introduced a handful of new bag variations. The Verité mini braided tote now comes in green and tan suede, bringing just the right amount of texture. The shape of this blue suede tote reminds me of the Céline Luggage bag I was married to throughout the 2010s. They’ve also introduced two linen-and-leather hybrids: the Cala 32, made for summer but still polished, with natural linen, supple leather trims, and a detachable pouch; and the Incognito, a true summer city bag with a structured silhouette, four hidden magnetic compartments, and an interior that fits a 14" MacBook - ideal if you’re after something smart enough for the office.
JW Anderson just dropped new arrivals at SSENSE, including a bubble-hem mini dress with lace trim at the back that’s pure chic.
Sarah Paulson is the face of AMI Paris’ Spring/Summer black-and-white cinematic campaign. You can view the images and watch the mini-films on their Instagram. She is photographed wearing the season’s standouts: the beige wool canvas skirt and blazer, and pieces with soft ruffled necklines.
