097. Emme Parsons Perfects Pool Slides, Tibi Gives Us More In a Sweatshirt, and Khaite Launches Spring
This May as Well Be a Sandal Edit
EVERY BODY GETS DRESSED’s weekly curated edit of the only fashion newness worthy of your attention.
It was hard to pick favourites amongst Rachel Comey’s new Spring drop. If I could only choose one it would be this raw-edge Guava skirt made using their signature Italian foam-like fabric. This material doesn’t wrinkle, so you can pack and unpack it without worry during your spring and summer travels. The brand added a version of their best-selling Fond sweatshirt with permanently rolled sleeves. This should make stylists - fond of this trick to create negative space in good outfits - and lazy wearers like me - who forget to adjust throughout the day - permanently happy. Rachel Comey has made my favourite sandals of the summer for a few years in a row now, and this pair looks like a strong contender. This week, the brand has also introduced Rachel Comey / Archive, a dedicated space for resale on their website.
Tibi released new colourways of their Bryan Shearling Flip Flops. I have several images of them being worn on my personal moodboard - see below for inspiration on how to style them. I also liked this sweatshirt-top hybrid. Amy (their Founder and CD, who you must follow if you haven’t already) posted behind-the-scenes on her Instagram about how this top came to be: ‘Traci and I faced an interesting dilemma with this top. We had created it first as a simple V-neck pullover. We loved that the rich double-faced Italian fabrication gave the appearance of sweatshirting, but in a way that read much more refined. But here’s the thing. It’s all a price-value balance. In such a rich fabrication, we needed to find a way to maintain all the ease but make it more when that is what you crave. When we were styling for the show, Sarah kept belting it. But, of course, the model would walk, and the belt would slip. We pinned the belt to the sweatshirt, but ultimately, what was the point of that? You won’t do that in real life. Traci huddled with our sewers and came back with belt loops. It is designed to look great naked and belted. When with, it deceives the eye: Am I wearing a dress? A jumpsuit? Either way, it’s the good more.’ Brilliant.

Emme Parsons's new arrivals include the Knot Pool Slide. If you have been holding out for a piece of the brand’s exemplary shoemaking, this pair is one you won’t need to be as precious about compared to their leather sandals because it is made with a welted rubber sole. Last Summer, I interviewed one of my best friends, who’s a shoe designer, about what makes a great pair of sandals and how much they should cost. She says, ‘Rubber soles are not a red flag or something to turn your nose up at; it can be a great choice depending on how you plan to use the shoe. If you’re going to wear the sandals on sand or wet pavement, rubber will protect the bottom of the shoe for longer and might also be less slippery. That said, rubber is plastic, and plastic is cheaper than leather, which should be reflected in the price’. Here, the rubber sole means a sophisticated sandal you can still wear on a high rotation, and it is reflected in the price compared to their other sandals. Other styles from the brand’s Spring Summer collection are available to preorder. Preorders is one of the most mindful ways to support a brand, ensuring they produce just the right amount of inventory. My other favourites include the espresso leather thong sandal and, for the evening, this chocolate brown satin strappy sandal or its 75mm heeled version in black Nappa leather. Preorders will ship in March, in plenty of time before the sandal season.
Hunting Season is my favourite bag brand of the moment (along with Savette). Their top-handle small tote is the only bag I want to carry, and they now have a leopard-print suede version. This would be great for anyone looking to add touches of selective maximalism to a minimalist wardrobe.
I love Soeur’s designs - the more decisive and less girly French contemporary brand making fans worldwide (ahem, Sézane) - almost as much as I get frustrated by their liberal use of synthetics. However, spring/summer collections bring 100% organic cotton. I love this huge cotton canvas jacket, this poplin dress with front yoke and turn-up cuffs details, these balloon-cut khaki jeans, and this wisteria-colour short-sleeved shirt ready to liven up a neutral palette. Their fits are very generous; I recommend sizing down in most styles.

Nili Lotan’s thoughtful wardrobe staples come with hefty price tags, but at least this amazing silk paisley sheer blouse packs a punch. It will be a piece you can rely on to infuse any outfit with a Joni Mitchell-esque feel for a good few decades. I can also appreciate the reliability and simple elegance of a silk halter top.
Khaite’s Spring 2025 collection is here. My favourite piece is this layered silk organza top or, on the wearable end, this layered crêpe top and fringed-neckline column dress. Also, its dimensions are less than the runway version, but this tote bag is hot.
Jamie Haller, the small independent designer who expanded into denim and ready-to-wear in 2024, is releasing her Spring styles her way: slowly and mindfully. Pieces that stand out are the Everything Pant, the Wide A Leg jeans (they look more like a kick flare to me), and the Cut Knee Short with its hem left raw that the designer encourages you to cut to your liking (or not).
Róhe’s Spring line launched two days ago, and it’s one of my favourite seasonal lineups so far. The star of the show is this chalk stand collar leather jacket. It’s also priced at $825, which is really not awful for a good leather jacket from a luxury brand these days. I have seen leather jackets with a higher price tag in Massimo Dutti this week. Note that the model is wearing two sizes up to achieve the oversized look. I also wishlisted this oversized polo.

In Things I Bought This Week: this Reformation vest top. It has an excellent fit and an interesting muted autumnal shade, which is the palette I generally seek out. It does not look good in the pictures, but I will share how I style it soon. It was the only thing I found myself wanting from their new seasonal lineup apart from this cute two-piece shorts set (it’s polyester, though) and Pete Davidson.
The most noticeable Spring releases from Berlin-based shoe brand Aeyde include these chocolate brown boat shoes. They’re similar to the Scarosso pair I have been wearing nonstop. Opt for the Scarosso if you want a loafer-like almond toe and the Aeyde if you want a moccassin shape. I also liked these heeled slingbacks that will look either very edgy or very classic, depending on the outfit you contextualise them into.
Ciao Lucia returned with a second collaboration with K Jacques. You can expect a much more rustic fabrication than the sandals mentioned above - which, again, is not always a bad thing, depending on what use you make of your sandals. As I predicted in this column two weeks ago, the black version is already sold out in all sizes but 36. You can still shop the gold and pre-order the tan versions. My shoe designer friend and I also reviewed K Jacques, Emme Parsons, Aeyde, and more brands that make the internet’s most-wanted sandals (see below). Spoiler alert: Emme Parsons came out on top across all criteria.
You may have already spotted it hanging off the hips of Courtney Grow or
; Still Here - the brand that has successfully made itself synonymous with NYC cool girl vibes - has just released a new pair of jeans called the Buckle. I like its subtle dropped crotch and that you can wear it as a low-rise or mid-rise.
Finally, this week’s La Garçonne’s new arrivals were a delight for anyone in love with structural pieces:

I'm obsessed with this series! Also you put Hunting Season on my radar over a year ago, and I will let the readers know that there is always a great selection of their top handle small tote on TRR & Vestaire. Don't pass it on, but, you know, take a look <3.
So many dreamy pieces! Oh dear, rabbit hole weekend forthcoming! XX
